The Full Brogue Shoe, a brief description
Also known as a wingtip, the Full Brogue is easily identifiable as one of the most classic pairs of men's dress shoes on the market. Featuring a brogue pattern along the sides as well as the toe cap, every man needs a Full Brogue in his shoe closet.
Full Calf Lined Interior
These shoes are fully-lined with soft calfskin leather, which means ultimate comfort. Most companies will only partially line their shoes, but we go the extra mile because it means a more comfortable shoe and less break-in time.
Hand Painted Crust Leather
Crust calf is untreated –not dyed– leather. It's usually used in its plain form, but it can be embossed with textures like pebble grain, full grain or croco. This leather is hand painted by our maestro colorist using natural dyes and oils.
Being an artisanal process, it is difficult to achieve uniform shades, especially in the lighter ones, although its main attraction is precisely its natural finish and the light transparency in its colors, which gives great distinction and versatility.
The Zurich Shoe Last
This style is produced using our most famous shoe last, which features a round toe for a classic english look. The Zurhich last is a perfect choice for either a casual look or a more contemporary shape to wear with formal clothes. The classic fit and slight almond toe creates a beautiful last with a timeless and versatile shape.
Blake Stitched By Hand
This style is constructed using the Blake method. It’s characterized by a double binding (blake and rapid, precisely): while the first attaches upper, lining and insole; the second one secures the insole and outside sole together. The shoes are therefore easy to resole, and have greater flexibility.
Meet the Classic Leather Sole
There are many reasons why leather has been used for centuries for soles: it's hardwearing, flexible, practical, long lasting and beautiful. It's usually considered the dressiest of all soles, gets that designation because it has the slimmest profile, so it looks best with your dress pants. It is painted by hand, and then brushed by our artisans for an impeccable finish.
